New managers James Duncan & Michael Murray have moved quickly to bolster the squad and their management team after their appointment on Wednesday with 3 new faces who are familiar to James & Michael from Potters Bar and we’d like to welcome them to Chesham United.
- Goalkeeper Ben Goode has signed Southern League forms for the club. Ben played for Potters Bar Town last season but due to work commitments wasn’t able to start this season at Potters Bar. He has being playing this year for Hadley FC including their FA Cup ties. Ben previously played for Harrow Borough and AFC Hayes.
- Mick Johnson joins as assistant manager to James Duncan & Michael Murray. Mick was previously the assistant manager at Potters Bar Town with James & Michael.
- David Murphy, who joins as 1st Team Coach, is a UEFA ‘B’ Licensed Coach, who was part of the management team at Potters Bar Town from 2016 onwards. Prior to that David worked within the youth section & academy at Wealdstone. Also involved with coaching at Stanmore College.
The first game for the new management team is this Saturday’s home league game v Tiverton Town, we’d love to see as many supporters at the Meadow as possible as we begin a new era at Chesham United.
