Joint Manager’s James Duncan and Michael Murray have strengthened the squad this week with the signing of Scott Shulton and the return of Lewis Rolfe.
The managers are delighted with the additions and hopes both Scott and Lewis will give the squad a boost as we come towards to the business end of the season in a strong position. Both additions go straight into the match day squad for the visit to Wimborne Town on Saturday.
30 year old ball playing central midfielder Scott Shulton joins from St Albans City and has been a consistent performer over the last few seasons for local rivals St Albans and Hemel; where he was highly regarded at that level. Scott started his career at Watford before signing professional terms with Wycombe Wanderers. Opportunities were limited at Adams Park meaning spells at various clubs followed including Ebbsfleet, Braintree and Hemel before his recent spell at St Albans City.
27 year old versatile defender Lewis Rolfe has rejoined the club for a 3rd spell to add to his 68 appearances for the Generals after leaving in the summer for Cambridge City and then Hitchin Town. Lewis made 33 appearances last season, then moved on in the summer but is back with the Generals for the run-in. Welcome back to the Meadow, Lewis Rolfe.
