Chesham hit a new low with the club’s heaviest league defeat since the turn of the century. Chesham actually came close to taking the lead in the opening five minutes, but after that it was one-way traffic with the game over as a contest in the opening half-hour. In the second half it was simply a matter of how many Beaconsfield would score. There were two changes to the starting line-up, Danny Green replacing Adam Martin and Ben Walster coming in for Oran Swales with Dave Pearce pushed forward into midfield.
There was little indication of what was to come in the opening exchanges, Jefferson Louis firing in a shot that clipped the top of the bar in the second minute. Two minutes later Bradley Clayton played a one-two with Tom Hitchcock and fired in a shot that home keeper Ravan Constable fingertipped round the post. However in the eighth minute a hurried clearance came to Charlie Losasso on the edge of the Chesham area, and his shot flew just wide of the near post. Seven minutes later the home side took the lead when Alex Cathline’s through pass enabled Anthony Mendy to run clear and fire into the roof of the net as Alex Tokarczyk came out. Beaconsfield were now on top and Losasso again shot wide after Alex Tokarczyk had made a good save to deny Mendy. On 24 minutes Losasso’s through pass saw Mendy again race clear and chip over the advancing Tokarczyk to make it 2-0. Two minutes later Mendy completed a hat-trick when Bajram Pashaj set him up for a shot into the corner of the net. In the next minute Cathline threatened to break clear only to be pulled back by Lewis Rolfe who escaped with a yellow card. Chesham then lost Bradley Clayton to injury, and sub Ryan Blake then set up Tom Hitchcock whose shot was blocked and Jefferson Louis shot wide from the loose ball. In stoppage time Matt Bevans crossed, Tom Hitchcock’s header was blocked as far as Jefferson Louis but his shot lacked power and was comfortably saved by Constable.
In the fifth minute after the restart Jefferson Louis broke clear down the right, but his shot only hit the stanchion behind the goal. Seven minutes later Anthony Mendy again broke clear for Beaconsfield, but his shot clipped the outside of the post. Chesham went straight back on the attack and a shot from Ryan Blake was blocked, and Tom Hitchcock had a great chance but fired wide from ten yards. Just after the hour mark Pashaj set up Charlie Losasso who stroked in the home side’s fourth, then in the next minute Alex Tokarczyk delayed over a clearance and was dispossessed by Pashaj who tapped into the vacant net to make it 5-0. Chesham looked as if they just wanted the game to end, but in the closing moments the home side scored twice more. After Alex Tokarczyk tipped over a shot from Pashaj, Daniel Brown ran at the Chesham defence and his shot was blocked only for Losasso to tap in the loose ball. In the next minute Brendan Matthew broke into the Chesham area only to be brought down by Tokarczyk, and Matthew himself blasted the penalty into the roof of the net to complete Chesham’s humiliation.
