Following the news that Chesham has moved into Tier 4, we are saddened to report that three of our footballing staff have tested positive for COVID-19. Having felt unwell, these were then reported to the club and the club then followed the strict FA protocols and the people in question were withdrawn from any training sessions, their temperatures reported and COVID-19 tests carried out. These tests have today unfortunately come back positive.
Nobody else at the club has reported any symptoms with everyone directly associated with the club being checked each morning and evening as we continue to put the welfare of everyone associated with the club as our top priority. We do not currently know where the infection started, but as a precaution the facilities have undergone deep cleaning and the club is currently in complete lockdown.
We wish those involved a speedy recovery and hope they and their families stay safe over the festive period.
