In addition to private functions The Chess Suite stages a wide range of events open to all. From live music and discos to quiz nights, race nights and Sportsmens Dinners. As well as clubs that use the venue for their regular events often open to all. Some events will be free of charge whilst others will require tickets to be purchased. We’ll be showing the Europa League Final between Arsenal and Chelsea live on the big screen and TVs in The Chess Suite on Wednesday 29th May. The bar will be open from 7pm for the build up to the game and kick off is scheduled for 8pm. Families are welcome so as it’s half term feel free to bring your children down to the club to enjoy the match live on BT Sports.
We are delighted to welcome Amersham & Chesham Lions back to The Chess Suite for the annual Chesham Beer Festival on Saturday 1st June.
With 25 ales and ciders on offer the event raises funds for local good causes with the venue donated for the day.
As well as the beers we will have hot food available and live music during the afternoon.
Entry is free, just buy tokens for the beers you would like on the day.
Doors open from noon.
The festival itself runs on until 7pm and the bar will be remaining open afterwards to show the UEFA Champions League Final on the screens in The Chess Suite. Any remaining beer festival ales & ciders will be available to purchase in the evening – tokens will not be valid after 7pm.
