On the back of the recent lockdown, Chesham United Football Club have this week reluctantly accepted the resignation of Mark Ford as our Bar Manager responsible for The Chess Suite.
Chairman Peter Brown commented: “I would like to put in on record our thanks for all the hard graft Mark has put in turning around The Chess Suite in recent years. Mark has given so much commitment and has been the driving force behind many of the refurbishments that have vastly improved the facilities here at Chesham United.
Mark will be sorely missed, and I am sure you would all like to join us in raising a glass to say thank you for all Mark has done. I am sure, you all cannot wait to get back into the bar and be able to express our thanks in person whilst sharing a pint.
We are now pro-actively on a look out for a replacement, The Chess Suite is a fundamental income source for the club and is treasured by many of our supporters, it is our duty to maintain the facilities as a place where as many people as possible can enjoy socialising. As I have mentioned in my weekly notes recently, we are in the process of restructuring the Board, and the new clubhouse management now becomes a key part of that planning.”
