Chesham United is pleased to announce the return to the Meadow and signing of goalkeeper Ben Goode
The 30 year old goalkeeper needs no introduction to supporters at The Meadow as he returns for his third spell at the club. Ben first signed for the Generals as JD & Muzza’s first signing from Potters Bar Town nearly six years ago and went on to make 62 appearances in his first spell at the club before departing at the end of the curtailed 2020/21 season.
Ben signed for Wingate & Finchley in the Isthmian Premier where he went on to become club captain and an ever present for The Blues, even scoring for Wingate in added time as part of a comeback to win.
Ben returned to the Generals for a one-off game at the end of the 2022/23 season and the play off semi final defeat at Bracknell, taking his place back between the sticks after Dante Baptiste dislocated his shoulder in the penultimate league game, the Generals went on to cruelly lose 1-0 in extra time to a deflected shot.
And now, Ben returns for a third spell looking to add to his 63 appearances at Step 3 for the Generals as we start our new journey in the Vanarama National South.
Welcome back Ben!
