Chesham United Football Club is pleased to announce that we have once again agreed to a ground sharing arrangement for next season (2021/22) with neighbours Aylesbury United who will be using The Meadow for all home league and cup matches.
Chesham United Chairman Peter Brown announced: “We are delighted once again to welcome Aylesbury United to The Meadow. Since they returned to ground-sharing with us in 2017, they have been the perfect tenant and produced some entertaining football to watch.
My special thanks go to our groundsman, Craig Ringsell, who does a fantastic job of maintaining the pitch and making it possible for us to share the ground with our neighbours, as well as our Ladies side and Academy. Despite all of that, we continue to have one of the best grass playing surfaces in the league, that I know is appreciated by the footballing staff of both Chesham United and Aylesbury United.”
Graham Read, Chairman of Aylesbury Utd commented: “We have been very happy with the facilities and the welcome we have had from all at Chesham United during our time playing at the ground, so we are delighted to renew our contract to play at the The Meadow for a further season”
The return to action for both Aylesbury and Chesham remains uncertain with the respective leagues currently suspended until at least 6th March, however both clubs are pleased to have this new arrangement in place ready to be up and running as soon as football is permitted again.
