The Meadow, Chesham
|Dan Green||1||Chesham’s first game of the new league season ended in defeat. Chesham took the lead after five minutes when Reece Cameron’s cross went through the arms of the opposing goalkeeper. Eight minutes later Dan Green made a good save at the feet of an opposing forward, then Joe Collier shot just off target. Luke Warner-Ely rounded Green to equalise for the visitors on 21 minutes.
Leverstock Green scored the winner two minutes into the second half, when Warner-Ely dispossessed Dan Green and tapped in. Warner-Ely then hit the post, then at the other end Calum Woodcock was clean through but the visiting keeper was able to get down to save. Ben Lawford then shot across the face of goal, then Dan Green had to dive to turn away another Warner-Ely effort. Late in the game a Reece Cameron corner came back off the near post, then in stoppage time a Reece Cameron free kick dropped at the feet of Will Reid but he was unable to turn the ball into the net from close range.
