Chesham United Reserves and Youth Team
I am pleased to announce some changes within the structure of the other teams within the Club.
Following last season’s successful venture into the Suburban League (in conjunction with Amersham FC), we have decided to continue with a Reserve team under our own banner. They will play in the Suburban League, and Bob Hatcher will step up to manage that team. I am pleased Bob will continue his association with the club, and will commit his time and coaching to developing young players for the Club.
We have recruited Gary Breeden to take over from Bob running the Youth Team in the Allied Counties League. Gary is a Level 3 Coach, and an FA Tutor, who has a wealth of experience in Youth Football. He has worked with Rushden and Diamonds FC, and last year was involved at Hemel Hempstead FC. Gary has plenty of contacts within Youth Football, and along with the Reserve structure, we aim to recruit and develop the best of the local football talent in the area. We will be looking to build links with Colleges and Clubs higher up the Pyramid.
To that end we will be holding a TRIAL DAY at 6.30pm on 17th June 2009 at Challoner’s School, Chesham Road, Amersham. We are looking for players aged 16-18 who are keen to join and develop with a progressive Non League club. If you are interested, please contact Gary on 07798 885752, or Bob on 07850 682997.
I am delighted with he progress we are making in terms of giving young players an opportunity to play for and develop their football with Chesham United. I think this new structure will provide them with a good standard of coaching, and they will be joining an ambitious club. Ultimately they have the chance to come through to the first team, and it can only be good if we have local boys in the team

The Chesham United Youth team is always looking for good quality players to join their existing team of winners and to replace those players graduating to senior football. Many of the current and past youth team players have previously been on the books with professionals clubs, whilst others have been excellent local league players who have progressed slightly later in their development. Being aligned with a semi-professional club, the Chesham United Youth team is run in a professional manner, with excellent coaching and expects full commitment from it's players. The Youth Team plays in the Allied Counties Floodlit Premier Division.
If you are in years 11, 12 or 13 at school (U16/18) and would be interested in trialling for the team then contact Head Coach, Bob Hatcher, on 07850-682997 for details. Trials are usually held at the end of the current season.
