Andy Leese provided an update following the Slough Town victory and looking ahead to Dunstable Town.
"We were obviously pleased with the win on Monday at Slough. We were stretched again with Drew missing, and Toby withdrawing with illness prior to the game. It was a tight game of few chances for both sides, which was not surprising given the respective defensive records. Our response in the second half was excellent as we adjusted the shape of the team to allow us to play through Barry a bit more. We had to weather some pressure as you would expect, but we limited Slough to half chances and Ash dealt well with anything on target. The performance showed we are more resilient away from home than we have been of late, and that is credit to the players who are adapting each week. It was a great way to start the second half of the season but we know there is a lot to do before we can say we are challenging for promotion. It is in our hands with the games we have in hand. We will need to stay fit and suspension free, and every player knows they need to be positive and take their chance when it comes.
We move onto play Dunstable this weekend. They had a great start to the season but have slipped off the pace in the last month. They have a small squad that all know their jobs and they will have no fear coming to the Meadow. We will have to maintain our current form and the intensity in our play if we want anything from the game. Hopefully we will have another decent crowd as we look to push on in the League."
