Andy Leese has this week announced two changes to the first team squad. Matt Bevans has returned to Watford FC following his extended loan period at The Meadow and Danny Gudgeon has returned to the club.
Commenting on Matt's time with Chesham, Andy explained: "He is hoping to further his career in professional football, and I am sure having worked with him he has every chance of progressing. He came to us at difficult time, but his application, attitude and ability meant he settled really well.
"It was no surprise that he picked up a number of Man of the Match awards, whichever position he was asked to play. His time with us has really benefited both parties, and I know Matt enjoyed his time here. My thanks to Watford FC for facilitating the loan. Let's hope we see Matt plying his trade with them in the Championship sometime soon."
Matt also won the December Fans' Player of the Month award. We hope to see Matt on Saturday when this will be awarded along with the announcement of January's winner.
Andy is delighted to see Danny Gudgeon return to The Meadow. "Dan was a key figure here for two seasons, a popular player in the dressing room and on the terraces before his personal circumstances meant he needed to play more locally earlier this season.
"He gives us competition and options at the back and in midfield as we enter a heavy schedule, and I know he is delighted to be back at the club. He has suffered an injury whilst playing at Cheshunt FC, but he seems to be recovered and we will look to build up his match fitness as quickly as we can."
