Chesham United manager Andy Leese has today updated supporters on Steve Wales' injury situation. "This week he has been diagnosed with a hernia. He requires an operation to repair it, and he will have that operation early next week."
The midfielder has made over 150 appearances in three seasons at The Meadow but has only made two starts so far this season.
Now that the diagnosis has been made Leese is confident he will make a good recovery. "We are advised it is a 4-6 week rehabilitation following the operation. He is a naturally fit player who applies himself really well to training and playing, so we are hopeful he can be available to us within that timeframe."
