Squad Update - Toomey signs on for the Generals
Following the signing last week of 5 new Generals for the 17/18 season. Danny Talbot and Jon Meakes are pleased to announce the signing of forward Lewis Toomey. "Lewis is a forward with plenty of pace and a natural eye for goal".
Lewis signs from Kings Langley where he spent last season after returning from travelling. Previous to Kings Langley, Lewis started his career with Kings Langley before signing for Hemel after two highly prolific seasons, since then Lewis has played for Hemel, St Albans City, Borehamwood, Hitchin before returning to Hemel in the summer of 2013, where he his Hemel pipped Chesham to the Southern Premier Division along with former General Dave Pearce.
The signing of Lewis Toomey follows the last week's announced signings of:
Adam Pepera (central defender) has been Dunstable captain and player of the year for the last two seasons.
Darren Locke (central defender) and Danny Green (midfielder) will be well known to Chesham fans after spending a number of years at St Albans, where they were both part of the team which won promotion from the Southern League in 2014.
Shane Bush (forward) has been a big part of the two promotions with AFC Kempston Rovers over the last three seasons.
Victor Osobu (forward) had success at Hemel, scoring in the playoff final v Gosport. Victor finished last season at Barton in their promotion challenge.
