St Ives Town v Chesham Utd Tues 29th Nov MATCH POSTPONED

Sunday 27th November

UPDATE 7pm: following an inspection, the referee has called tonight's game off

This Tuesday 29th November the 1st XI go back on the road to visit St Ives Town for this Evo-Stik Southern Premier League fixture.

St Ives are newly promoted to the Premier League this season having finished fourth in last season's Central Division and then winning the play-off final v AFC Rushden & Diamonds 2-1 after extra time

When Chesham met The Saints at The Meadow on August 9th two headed goals early in each half gave Chesham a comfortable win. Indeed, after scoring the first on just eight minutes Chesham never looked like losing, and Ashlee Jones did not have a serious save to make in the whole game.

Our hosts are currently placed 20th with 22 points having played 20 games, nine places and seven points behind Chesham having played two games more. Both sides will have been disappointed with their respective outcomes on Saturday, and will be seeking a reaction. Chesham were largely comfortable at home v Redditch, bar a twenty minute spell after half time, but went behind to a poor own goal and needed a Sam Youngs wonder strike to rescue a point. For their part St Ives went out of the FA Trophy 1-0 away at Kings Lynn Town in the 3rd Qualifying Round.

For travelling supporters, the venue is St Ives Town Football Club, Westwood Road, St Ives, Cambs, PE27 6DT
