For travelling fans wishing to meet up beforehand the consensus from a wide range of informed sources is that The Cherry Tree - much frequented by visiting fans - and Charters Bar, a large converted floating barge and a hotspot for real ales, are both good and welcoming choices. Both are within easy reach of the ground. Kind regards, Forever Posh"
With advance ticket sales from the club combined with online purchases already exceeding 500, and other supporters who are travelling independently and paying "on the day" it looks like we'll be getting a great turnout to rival or even beat the numbers that went to Bristol and Bradford last year. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THOSE TRAVELLING ON SUPPORTERS COACHES
With a no of coaches (including the separate players / officials one) departing from The Meadow on 5th November it will be extremely busy at the Club on Saturday morning.
Make sure you are aware of the departure time for which you have booked, 10am or 11:30am departure as indicated on your ticket. Coach bookings CANNOT be exchanged for a different departure time. Make sure you bring your coach ticket with you - only supporters with valid pre-paid tickets will be allowed to travel.
There will be NO NEW PURCHASES OF SEATS ON THE DAY as all coaches are full. Please bear in mind that the car park will be closed to allow space for the coaches to park up and turn around. For the earliest arrivals there MAY be space in the area adjacent to the cricket ground, but do not rely on this - ensure you allow plenty of time to get parked and to walk to the ground. We will not be delaying departure times.
A number will be displayed on each coach. Please make a note of your coach number details on the outward journey to ensure you find the correct one for the return journey. Coaches will be returning straight after the game so please get back to your coach as quickly as possible. NO ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED ON OUR COACHES and stewards will be checking prior to boarding. The police have the right to stop and search football supporter coaches for alcohol and then turn them away in the event of any being found.
Our intention is for you to enjoy the journey! Many thanks to everyone who is travelling to the FA Cup match, it promises to be a great day out.
