Frome Town 2 Chesham Utd 0

Wednesday 16th November

Chesham lost to Frome for the first time in eight games, going down 2-0 at the Blindmans Brewery Stadium. Chesham had early chances to take the lead, but a long range Connor Roberts effort cleared 'keeper McCorkell and found the top corner to give the home side the lead on 36 minutes. Jon Davies then ran past the Chesham defence on 43 minutes to shoot home and make the score 2-0 at half time. The Generals pressed hard in the second half, but could not get back on terms as chances were not converted and the home defence held out.

The 1st XI now prepare for another away game, at Dorchester this Saturday

Andy Leese

Chesham Utd Manager Andy Leese commented:

"We endured another difficult night at Frome in the week, and missed the opportunity to pick up points. We conceded poor goals and despite having enough chances to get back in the game, we couldn’t take them.

"To avoid the season mirroring the last one, we need to turn our form around quickly. It requires hard work and application every week. We cannot just perform when it suits. We have the squad to get us where we want to be, we just need a response from everyone to get back to winning ways"
