A stoppage time deflected strike saw Chesham go down to their second league defeat in four days. Darren Purse gave Chesham a 6th minute lead, which The Generals held until half time. An injury to Toby Little brought an early intoduction for Ryan Blake, and a knock sustained by Ashlee Jones saw Matt Nolan come out between the sticks for the second half.

Chesham started the second half brightly with Drew Roberts sent clear, but a three minute spell saw the tables completely turned when Dorchester scored from a 47th minute penalty and a 51st minute long range shot. Roberts threatened again but was brought down for the second penalty of the game which he converted to make the score 2-2. Both teams looked for the winner in driving rain, but just as it was looking like honours even Dorchester's Bassett set off on a 90+2 driving run followed by a shot that took a wicked deflection past Nolan for the winner.

Andy Leese

Chesham Utd Manager Andy Leese's commented:

"It was a disappointing afternoon on Saturday as we slipped quietly to another League defeat. The evidence is available to view, and it looks no better when viewed for the tenth time. We were stretched as a squad, and injuries in game did not help us.

"We should have taken the chances we created and made the game easier, but at the moment we say that every week. The dip in form since Peterborough is startling and we have to try and avoid the same pattern we endured last season."
