This Saturday 10th September we are pleased to welcome supporters, players and officials of Kings Lynn Town to The Meadow for this Evo-Stik Southern Premier League match. We also welcome and thank our Match Ball Sponsors Paul and Ron Campion

Honours were even between the two sides last season. The Linnets won 2-0 at home in January to halt a Chesham run of three consecutive wins. When Kings Lynn arrived at The Meadow in March Chesham were again on a run and unbeaten in seven, but the visitors could not repeat the feat and The Generals won by the same score with first half goals from Ryan Blake and Dave Pearce.

Kings Lynn have started slowly this season with two wins from seven but were buoyed, like Chesham, with a five goal win in the FA Cup last weekend. Whilst The Generals were putting five past Saffron Walden Town, Kings Lynn won 6-1 at home to Brigg Town of the Northern Counties East league Div One.

With Chesham having been drawn away in the FA Cup 2RQ this is the last 1st XI home match for a fortnight, so get down to The Meadow this Saturday and support the team!

andy leeseManager Andy Leese commented ahead of Saturday's kick off

"We entertain Kings Lynn this weekend as we look to consolidate our League position. They have picked up their form in the last couple of weeks and we know they are a team with some match winners if you let them play.

"We have trained well this week, and selection will be a difficult task with a full squad available. We want to maintain our decent form if we can before the FA cup comes around again. A decent enough draw for us, albeit in to the unknown at Sevenoaks.

"We will prepare for the game as we always do, and the players are looking forward to another challenging week of football."
