This Tuesday 27th September we are pleased to welcome supporters, players and officials of Cambridge City to the Meadow for this Evo-Stik Southern Premier league match.

Our visitors have had a difficult start to the season, and are currently 22nd with 9 points. Whilst The Lilywhites have only won twice in the league this season, Chesham will be mindful of the fact that both of those wins have come on the road: 2-0 at Dorchester Town and more recently 3-0 at local rivals St Neots. However since that last victory Cambridge have gone down to three successive defeats, most recently on Saturday at Basingstoke Town

The Generals have a score to settle having lost their last three v Cambridge. Prior to those three defeats, the match at The Meadow in October 2014 provided huge entertainment, albeit for the wrong reasons for Chesham fans. On that Tuesday evening The Generals were 4-1 up and cruising when the visitors pulled off an unlikley comeback to draw 4-4

With Cambridge having the best goal difference in the bottom eight and with a point to prove after their recent results, this match has the potential to be a tight affair, so be at The Meadow and support the team as Chesham seek to reverse the recent run of results between these two sides, and build on Saturday's 3-0 win over Cirencester

andy leeseManager Andy Leese's commented ahead of Tuesday evening's kick off:

"Cambridge will be looking to pick up points after a difficult start to the season. We need to stay in touch at the top end. We have options to change what we do, and the players are keen to continue the momentum they have picked up from the last two games.

"It should be a lively night at the Meadow and with your support it always adds to the atmosphere for the players. See you there!"
