It's Hemel at home in the play offs

Sunday 28th April

Promotion Play Off Semi Final

Chesham United vs Hemel Hempstead Town
Tuesday 30th April 7.45pm

Chesham United are two victories away from Conference football and the job starts on Tuesday night with the visit of near-neighbours Hemel Hempstead Town. Please spread the word and let's get a bumper crowd down to The Meadow to cheer on the boys.

Cup-tie rules apply for this game with the gate split between both teams and the league so it is 'all pay' on the gate with no season tickets valid. Admission is £10 adults, £6 over 65s & students with ID, £3 under 16s, £1 unaccompanied under 12s (under 12s free with a paying adult / concession).

Hemel have spent much of the season in the top couple of spots in the table but recent form has seen them slip back to a fourth place finish. They needed a win at home yesterday  to confirm their play off position and achieved it by beating Bideford 4-1. United go into the game on the back of an unbeaten eighteen match run in league and cup. That has seen The Generals rise from 19th position to a third place finish - the best since moving to the Southern League in 2004. This will also be Chesham's fourth play off campaign in six seasons with the team determined to make up for the disappointment of losing to AFC Totton at the same stage last season.

With Hemel managed by former Chesham players Dean Brennan and Stuart Maynard it will clearly be a tense, competitive match - certainly not one to miss if you can possibly make it.

The other semi final will see 2nd placed Stourbridge welcoming 5th placed Gosport Borough. The two semi final winners will meet on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May

As it's likely to be busy on Tuesday please consider car sharing or taking a stroll to the ground where possible. If space at The Meadow fills up don't forget there is parking available on The Moor just a couple of minutes away.
