Chesham United are pleased to announce the signing of striker Scott McGleish following his appearance as a triallist in the midweek friendly win at Billericay Town.
Chesham manager Andy Leese is delighted with the addition to his squad: "Scott was playing professional football until the end of last season and in a fantastic career he scored almost 250 goals in over 600 games for Charlton, Wycombe, Barnet and Northampton amongst others.
"He is in good shape as we saw in the midweek friendly at Billericay, and keen to carry on playing at 38. We have done well to secure his signature, and his experience and character will be a huge benefit in the dressing room. I appreciate the backing of the Chairman and the Board in allowing us to add Scott to the squad."
Meanwhile Leese also confirmed that Michael Lyon has decided to leave the club. "As I reported in my programme notes yesterday, Mike's work takes him all over the country and means he cannot always commit to games and training. It is a pity he did not have the chance to impress, as I know from managing him previously what he can bring to a team."
