Chesham finally played the second leg of this League Cup tie nearly five months after the first leg, and eventually went out on penalties in a dramatic game.

Chesham took the lead after seven minutes with a long shot from Pierce Kelly that slipped through the goalkeeper's hands. Oxhey had most of the first half and missed an open goal after 36 minutes, but otherwise rarely looked like scoring. Chesham used their only substitute when Brogan Townsend went off with a shoulder injury, Tom Cocker switching to the centre of defence.

In the second half the game came to life with four goals in eight minutes. After 57 minutes Oxhey equalised with a header from a corner, but Chesham immediately regained the lead when Will Hall's through ball enabled Luke Asquith to slip the ball past the advancing keeper. However Oxhey scored on 60 and 65 minutes to take the lead for the first time. On 77 minutes Alex Ramsay's run ended with a square ball to Ryan Barton who made it 3-3. Ramsay suffered cramp after this and was forced to go off for seven minutes, and eventually came back but was barely able to run, so went up front while Luke Asquith filled in at left back.

With the first leg having finished 1-1 the game went into extra time. Pierce Kelly restored Chesham's lead on 98 minutes, firing in after a cross had been headed out. In the second period Ryan Barton got back to clear a lob off the line, but in the 119th minute Chesham failed to clear their lines and Oxhey equalised to take the game to penalties. Both teams converted their first two kicks, Pierce Kelly and Tom Cocker for Chesham, then Ryan Barton and his opposite number had their kicks saved. Sam Grubb's kick was saved and Oxhey converted their next kick to make it 3-2. Adam Booth then scored but Oxhey put away their fifth kick to clinch the win.
