Chesham's youth team eventually made it through to the next round of the Colwyn Youth Challenge Cup, but after taking an early three-goal lead the team were hanging on until Josh Burks' fourth goal clinched the win in stoppage time.

Josh Burks scored his first goal with a shot across the keeper into the far corner in the seventh minute, then made it 2-0 seven minutes later with a shot into the opposite corner. After 25 minutes Pierce Kelly's free kick from wide on the right was missed by everybody and Burks tapped in at the far post. Ampthill had one shot just over, but their goalkeeper was forced into good saves to deny Tom Cocker, Alex Loli and Sam Bohnel before half-time.

Chesham were forced to reshuffle for the second half following an injury to Alex Ramsay, and the visitors took full advantage. In the fifth minute after the restart Ampthill's striker rounded Tom Gowans and the ball rolled into the net off Brogan Townsend. Nine minutes later a corner went straight into the net to reduce the deficit to one, but four minutes after that Sam Bohnel lifted the ball over the keeper to make it 4-2. Burks then forced another fine save from the visiting keeper with a shot that seemed destined for the bottom corner. Seven minutes from time Chesham were caught out by a quickly-taken free kick which sailed into the unguarded net. That led to a nervy final few minutes but Josh Burks sealed the win with a fine solo goal in stoppage time. That also meant that three home games at the Meadow on three consecutive nights yielded a total of 21 goals.
