Thursday 21st April, Southern Counties Floodlit Youth League

Leverstock Green had beaten Berkhamsted 3-0 on Wednesday to go five points clear at the top of the table having played all their games. Chesham visited third placed Hemel knowing that they needed to win their remaining two games to win the division. The boys won the first of those games in emphatic style as they scored twice in each half to set up a chance to take the title at home next Thursday 28th April when they host Hillingdon. Once Keion Halstead had put Chesham into the lead on 14 minutes the team took control of the game and added a second from Ben Mooney six minutes later. Mooney added his second of the night on 55 minutes before Danny Loveday sealed a fine win with an excellent finish ten minutes from the end.

It's been a great season for the Under 18s and they still have a League Cup Final at The Meadow on Tuesday 3rd May and the chance to reach another final having reached the semi-final of the Colwyn Youth Challenge (date and opponents tbc). If you get the chance please come down and support them in pursuit of a treble this year.
