Chesham's pre-season ended with another defeat against a team from a higher league.

Neither side looked likely to score early on, although in the seventh minute Mark Bell crossed to Simon Thomas who mishit a shot on the turn. After 20 minutes a Spencer McCall corner was cleared, Ryan Melaugh crossed back into the area and the ball came back off the far post. Shortly afterwards Chesham lost Daniel Brathwaite to injury, but immediately Chesham broke forward and Inih Effiong's shot was superbly tipped over by keeper Joe Wright. Three minutes later the visitors scored the only goal, when Mikel Suarez rose unmarked to head in a corner at the far post. Before half-time Inih Effiong was also forced off with injury, but in stoppage time Chesham came close when Ryan Blake's cross-shot came to Mark Bell who back-heeled towards goal but the ball was cleared off the line.

In the first minute of the second half a long-range effort from Spencer McCall flew just wide. McCall then mishit from a good position, then Jonny Herd broke forward and shot wide from the edge of the area. Chesham had the better of the later stages, Mark Bell breaking forward and setting up a shooting chance for Simon Thomas that Wright saved to his right. Late on Ashley Smith's right-wing cross found the head of Simon Thomas, but Wright parried and grabbed the ball at the second attempt.
