Hafed Al-Droubi 1 Jack Turner A late equaliser from Ravi Shamsi gave Chesham a second consecutive draw. For a long time this looked like another goalless encounter, and both goals came as something of a surprise so a draw was probably a fair result.

Benji Crilley and David Hutton were ruled out by injuries in the Boxing Day game at Kings Langley, while Oran Swales reverted to the bench, with Darren Locke, Ravi Shamsi and Danny Green all starting. Slough made the stronger start but Chesham were the first to threaten, Jefferson Louis finding space on the left before shooting straight at visiting keeper Jack Turner. Jhai Dhillon then found Jefferson Louis whose shot on the turn was blocked and Ravi Shamsi hit the loose ball straight at Turner. Slough then won a free kick which Chris Flood hit straight at Hafed Al-Droubi, but Chesham then came close when Jack Turner could not hold a fierce shot from Ravi Shamsi and the loose ball fell to Adam Watkins who could only stab the ball wide. At the other end Brad Wadkins set up Chris Flood who ran clear but took too long and his final shot was blocked. Chesham then lost Joe Iaciofano to injury, then Slough had their best effort of the half when George Wells broke forward and fired in a shot that Hafed Al-Droubi dived to his left to turn behind. The half ended with Jefferson Louis heading over from Jhai Dhillon’s corner.

The opening minutes of the second half saw both sides struggling to string any passes together. On the hour mark Ravi Shamsi found Adam Watkins who shot straight at Turner, then Slough’s Mark Nisbet was booked for a bad challenge on Danny Green but Turner saved Ravi Shamsi’s free kick. Slough made a double substitution and the move nearly paid off immediately, but Nathan Webb’s shot flew just wide. However Chesham were looking comfortable until the 76th minute, when Simon Dunn swung in a free kick from wide on the right and Ben Harris headed in from just outside the six-yard box. Chesham then lost Munashe Sundire to injury as Slough looked to be heading for a narrow victory. However there were five minutes of stoppage time, later stretched to seven after an injury to Brad Wadkins, and in the fifth extra minute Chesham equalised. A move down the left involving Adam Watkins and Jefferson Louis saw Ravi Shamsi score from an acute angle as Jack Turner came out of his goal.
