|1||Shane Gore||Martel Powell is a right-sided midfield player who has signed on a month's loan from Maidenhead United, and the trialist is a well-known experienced striker whose name the club does not want to reveal at this stage.
Billericay missed a good chance in the second minute, but Chesham took the lead after 5 minutes when a fine run by Martel Powell set up Dave Fotheringham, who scored with a shot into the bottom corner of the net from the edge of the area. Shane Gore then made a fine save from a free kick and the resulting corner ended in a shot that Danny Talbot cleared off the line. Andrew Fagan then had a free header from a corner that the keeper parried, but after 15 minutes a cross from the home right was headed into his own net by Fagan to make it 1-1. The home side then missed another good chance and Shane Gore made another fine save as the home team dominated. After 38 minutes James Potton shot into the net but the referee ruled that he had used a hand to control the ball. In the last minute of the half Andrew Fagan slipped, which allowed a home striker to run on and beat Shane Gore to put the home side ahead.
After 57 minutes Bruce Wilson lifted a free kick into the box and a home defender raised an arm to knock the ball away, and the trialist striker rammed in the resulting penalty. Chesham dominated the second half, Martel Powell having a powerful drive parried by the home keeper, then Dave Fotheringham crossed from a short corner and Andrew Fagan's header was scrambled away. After 81 minutes Dave Fotheringham and Bruce Wilson combined to set up Michael Chennells who slipped the ball past the advancing keeper for Chesham's winner. Late in the game Dave Fotheringham's shot was deflected over the home bar.
